Things what have happened since I disappeared off the face of the planet:
-Remember I kept complaining about having eczemaon my hands? Yeah, it turned out to be... kind of worse than that. Skin infections suck, man. They freaking hurt. Things I could barely do while the pain and inflammation were at their worst included squeezing tubes of toothpaste, driving, making my bed, opening doors, washing my face, holding silverware, holding/touching anything, and taking childproof caps off bottles. The Pretty One tied my shoes for me and my mom brushed my hair for me. It was bad, guys. It was real bad. But between various antibiotics and topical steroids and antiseptic/antimicrobial skin washes and time off work, my hands are about 85% healed now. Which is such a relief, I cannot even tell you.
-We have a new intern at work. She's very sweet and catches on quickly and is definitely a team player. It's weird, though, because this is the first time that I've had any kind of seniority over anyone. I'm helping to train her and I can answer her questions and give her tasks to do and stuff. It's such a foreign feeling, to have someone look up to me and to be able to direct them and know that I (hopefully) won't lead them astray.
-The Pretty One left to go back to school this morning. I would use a frowny face, but that wouldn't encompass all my frowny feelings. But anyway, hence sad Ruby down below.
-I kind of sort of forgot about Korra after I watched the first few episodes, so the Pretty One and I powered through it over the last few nights, and guyssss! I really, really like it! Except for, you know, [that one thing in the finale.]CHEATING ON YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER = NO. But besides that, I really enjoyed it. I love how political it is. And I LOVE LIN BEI FONG, GUYS. I love her.
-And speaking of other things I'm way behind on, The Demigod Diaries! I'm ~2/3 of the way through it, and my heart is full of rainbows and sparkles and everything shiny and wonderful. And periodically everything heartbreaking. I love Rick Riordan so much.
