(no subject)
So I'm feeling tired, cranky and unappreciated. And I was at school 'till 6 and rushed home so I could shovel a few tacos down my throat, throw on some jeans, hop back in my car to head to the choir concert I promised to attend. And I didn't want to. I wanted to sit and relax and just...collect myself. But you know, I'm glad I went. For one thing, I do actually like a good choral piece. So it was nice to hear the music. But, more than that, when you see a kid's face light up and you realize how damn much it meant to them that you were there, it's so worth it.
So tonight, 12/7/06, I am grateful for:
- A good piece of music with latin text
- Meaning so much to some of my students
- Cooooold weather
- Free Days. I can't believe I gave my kids a free day. It's like the world ending. But I did. And I don't regret it.
- That this week/semester is so close to being over
