I'm DONE!!!
I finished school for the summer!!! I had a Chemical Health test today, and now I am school free until Sept. 10. It is a little unsettling feeling, because it has been such a huge part of my life, daily activities, everything since last Sept. Only 12 more classes and student teaching, and I'm ready to be a teacher on my own.
We had a fabulous weekend up north at my father in law's house. Spent two days on the lake, the kids loved tubing and even tried water skiing. The weather was incredible, perfect Minnesota summer days. Only the mosquitoes made a black mark (and lots of red ones on the kids legs, arms, face, etc). We went to the fireworks last night, and felt like total losers because we didn't bring anything except chairs and a blanket!!! I guess I just wasn't thinking (or maybe it was the 6 T and T's that I drank Sunday night that were still clouding my judgement...). I forgot to pack snacks, cooler, sweatshirts...fortunately we met some people who shared their water with the kids, who were parched from all of their playing.
