What a day!
OK, I am not as good at entering as alot of the rest of you are, but I'm going to start trying. So, here is where I vent a little and whine, because face it, if you are a mom, everyone whines to you but never listens when you need to!!! I have had a crazy from hell week, and I don't even have school this weekend. Just real life stuff as a mom who tends to get a bit over-involved with the kids' school activities. Anyway, on top of all that, I think I have a sinus infection - my head throbs, I can't breathe...you get the drift. Thursday is my day as lunchroom/playground supervisor, normally not such a bad gig. Weather today is gorgeous for Feb. 3 in Minnesota - currently 48 degrees!!! But I swear, it sets the kids off to become little monsters!!! All I did was repeat myself about not throwing snowballs (which are now ice balls), no shoving on the snow mountain, yes, it is the first graders turn on the snow mountain, blah blah blah. I finally started hauling some ass into the school office b/c I had it!!! Some kids just have such balls in how they talk back to adults...I've told my kids if I ever hear them talk to another adult like that....
I was ready for happy hour at 1:45, but had to head to the dentist for the first of 2 appointments for a crown (because of poor dental hygiene as a child I have a mouthful of cavities). The best part of that was just sitting in the chair with my eyes closed, pretending I was sleeping. When they told me I was through and it was time to go home, I was like, "NO! I want to stay and sleep some more!!"
The good news?! Today is Thursday, so that means my second favorite TV obsession, "Without A Trace" and cocktails. Tomorrow I am having lunch with a friend, and then we are checking out the IKEA that opened up last fall. No $$ to spend, but it's always fun to dream.
