Yes, a pre-review! Thats exactly what it was :D

Now for the actual FLAILING!

Frakking in the airlock fantasy? Unbelievably awesome! Now theres a fic that needs writing like right this second.

the tilt of her chin as much of a question as the one she’s asked
This just stuck out at me, I don't know if it was the phrasing or the image it put in my head but its so lovely.

Ok, I LOVED how she started packing up her stuff when she thought he wanted to call it a night.

The last glimmer of the President disappears-the responsibility, the work, all falling away (the suit, unfortunately, stays).
Ded. Simple as.

“Come sit down,” he thinks he says-or at least it’s what he should have, though it sounded oddly more like c’mere: wistful, hopeful, with no pretense that getting her seated is all he’s after, just her.
I could just quote the whole thing back at you really. Wonderful

Bill sits, stock-still; Laura waits behind him.
I think you're trying to kill me with awesome

But he is much older, and she is-I love how you trailed off her, the ( ... )

Oh my gods! I mean, I was already on a BSG Scene of Love high from having JUST WATCHED, but you are just fabulous! I have to actually scroll up and down to respond to this, lol.

If someone wrote the airlock fantasy, I think I would die from the awesome. Ha! just had a thought---maybe she was clearing the desk because she was in tune with the desk top fantasy. Don't want any of those important papers getting lost or crumpled or.... ;)

And speaking of writing... any more of your one-shot amazingness on the horizon? *taps foot and waits*

oh that was a wonderful story!! Whatever Bill says about being a man of action, he's a total thinker. I love the way he analyzes absolutely everything. This is just how I imagine him. Thanks so much for this story. I think it's excellent.

How can he NOT stare at her all the time, really? ;) And I'm so glad you thought the Bill POV worked. Thanks!

I--wow! I love this! You did such a good job of capturing both of them! I usually am not keen on 'inner-monologue' type stories, but I really liked the way you had Bill's mind wander. And you absolutely got Laura spot-on, I love how you caught all those little quirks that make her who she is, particularly: and that voice will probably do him in before the Cylons have a chance to. All the different pitches and intensities: soft and yielding, authoritative, demanding. // a hum of satisfaction thrumming deep in her throat and reverberating into his.

Thanks for this!

Oh, thank you so much! And yes, Bill's brain was in danger of taking over the entire story, but I just couldn't seem to get him to STOP thinking about her. I'm so glad you liked it though!

This fic ended and I was sat here thinking 'How could someone NOT enjoy this fic?' :) It's lovely, and sexy and fun, winning combination.

I especially loved this line: “I didn’t realize I had a bedtime, Admiral.”

LOL! I can hear that line being said on the show.

Oooo, and I also very much enjoyed this: It must be a custom somewhere, he tries to rationalize (or had been, before the apocalypse)-some obscure island or sect where important leaders greet each other with open-mouthed kisses in the most convenient locations. An interesting conversation-starter, a way to break barriers (and seal agreements), to….

Wouldn't THAT be great on the show :) Laura and Bill HAVING to greet each other with kisses? You know what, I don't think they'd have lasted this long in their 'we're totally not frakking each other' state if they'd had to kiss every time they met.

Ewwww. I just had a bad thought about current world leaders having to follow that rule...BAD idea :) Though I'm sure a few of them have thought about it before now :)

Hahahaha! Yes. Really bad idea to transfer over into real life. But HILARIOUS at the same time.

And you're also totally right---they would've jumped each other a LONG time ago. I like to live in the world where it already did, they just have yet to admit it. It's pretty here, lol.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this! :) Thanks!
