SUMMARY | Confused Kain is confused and wandering Mac Anu. What will happen now?
LOG | With every step he took through Mac Anu, poking at his new relic and cursing irritably, Kain still expected the bizarre -- to his eyes, at least -- surroundings to melt away into the mirrors of the Mount's summit. A city? Impossible.
This entire fiasco made no sense. Where was his doppleganger, or whatever else the light in Mount Ordeals saw fit to harrow him with until he won or broke? Unless of course this was the trial; Kain could almost believe that, given his current state. Dragon armour, his lance, and every other stitch of equipment apparently locked elsewhere by this damned Lunarian toy like some kind of fat-chocobo turned into an alien clockwork brick.
At least he wasn't completely unarmed. The sword felt strange in his hands, training of years ago more than half forgotten, but he was confident that he could swing the blade competently if it came to that. He wouldn't be able to fight like a proper Dragon Knight, of course -- but that was no doubt also part of the test.
If all this were a test.
