SUMMARY | The large ship in Mac Anu's harbor district is decked out in lanterns, and seems to be ready to accept passengers. Formal invitations were sent out by hand via NPCs. Upon boarding, your character will be dressed in peculiar themed garb, which they can keep as a token of their participation. If you thought "victorian", correct! If you thought "formal wear", bonus! If you thought "steampunk", extra credit! The NPCs also add a certain nudge to find yourself a date, first.
LOG | The ship almost gleams with polish in the setting sun's light. The captain NPC is in his finest attire and greeting the guests as they came aboard, with roses for the ladies and a special set of cufflinks for the men. A few words are exchanged, and as the threshold is stepped over, everyone is changed into formal attire befitting a ball. The colors are in sunset tones and deeper, and once everyone is on board, the steam horn bellows throughout the town and the ship departs.
The sky quickly turns dark and the ball proceeds on the deck, temperatures kept warm by various coal heaters surrounded by plush loveseats to enjoy under the stars. If you'd like to settle underneath your date's arm by the railing, however, that's entirely up to you. Soft music is played by a live band, and high-class snacks are ferried around by the waiters. All in all, it seems to be a relaxed event to make up for lost downtime and the slower pace The World has taken lately.
