(no subject)
The household got internet back last night, and I couldn't be happier.
In addition to leisure and gaming, I'm looking forward to getting started on some of the things I need to get done before next academic year, the most important being getting the ball rolling for a music scholarship. But first thing's first - I need a 3/4 size electric guitar. It will be my 20th birthday present, and I need one because my hands are too darn small to play power chords on a full size (Ollie tried to teach me a few basic chords and riffs a couple of months ago, and while he couldn't understand why my attempt didn't sound right, I couldn't understand how he could get his fingers all over the frickin' neck like he did. He eventually reasoned my fingers weren't positioned right, and we concluded that my fingers couldn't physically get into the right position. So, 3/4 guitar).
Aside from spending the day on DMO, today was about helping Mother prepare for the car boot sale tomorrow. We're selling a load of clothes we can't or won't wear anymore, and I was pricing them up. We bought two clothing rails at Argos and had no problem at all learning how to put them up (not bad for two girls, eh?). I've probably got a load more in my cupboard I want to sell in addition to other non-clothing items.
I also plan to get myself a late birthday treat as soon as I can :)
The spots are back. No, scratch that. My facial infection returned. It's a nightmare. I've had the same 2 spots on my chin for 2 years that fluctuate between full blown inflammation until it hurts to move my mouth, and acne scars lying dormant for a few months more until they come back for round 2 - each time with reinforcements. None of them ever go away completely anymore since I went on the pill (but coming off that is NOT an option) so I have resorted to home remedies. My first experiment will be lime juice mixed with carbonated iced green tea as a topical. I think it's time to go all out this time.
