Requiem for my smoking. Rest in peace down here my dear smoking.

Knowledge is a treasure, but practice is the key to it..))

Everything has its own key-to-unlock. Happiness, sport results, making money, quitting smoking...
Especially quitting smoking.
I was thirteen when I tried smoking first time. Nothing serious - just 2 cigarettes per day for a six 6 months.
When i was 27 (September 2007) I started to smoke again. I don’t know why)) The main reason was my smoking girlfriend, I suppose)))
Initially, the smoking was something fresh, something new in my life...The cigarette helped me to wake up my brain in the morning, to be closer to my smoking colleagues, to cheat time in traffic jam…
But day by day… after 5 years of smoking, 20 cigarettes per day I started to notice some body metamorphosis.
1. tobacco stink from my mouth became permanent.
2. my body smell has changed.
3. some of my fingers turned yellow (got permanent odor too).
4. Morning breathing became heavy and painful.
5…. etc... Every smoker is familiar with these metamorphosis)))
Ash all around me, smelly clothes...
By the way I have tried to quit smoking several times during those 5 years using willpower….And I have to say - the “willpower” way and the teen non-fapping efforts are the same)))) I know few people who have relapsed after being smoke free for 2 years by using volition. Тhe result is a bit predictable, if you crave to smoke every single day during 2 years, isn`t it? So they did not have physical nicotine addiction, but they started to smoke again because they still wanted to… This is a reaction of the psyche to the prohibition, I presume.
In February 2013 I began to look for my own key-to-unlock the addiction. For my own way without prohibition, relapsing and without teen no-fapping efforts)))
I had tested before few quitting techniques, such as gradually reducing the amount of cigarette per day, using nicotine gums and one very strange antismoking kit, I have also tried disposable electronic cigarette and used some willpower-no-fapping efforts. The only one thing that impressed me was an electronic cigarette.
I has invented my own scheme taking into account the following moments:

1. I like coffee. Much more than cigarettes.
2. The electronic cigarette has impressed me.
3. I missed my nonsmoking life.
4. Now I pay for stink, and in future I will have to pay more for doctors and medicine because my health will be getting worse.
5. I do not want to be ashamed anymore of smelly smoker’s breath.

I have decided - Ok! I will be a “vaporman” as minimum, but I will do my best to quit totally. That was my plan.
First of all I picked the electronic cigarette model, which totally looked like “conventional” cigarette. Also this model had cigarette case - big battery to charge the e-cigarette while carrying. When the electronic cigarette is in the cigarette case - it is charging. So you should avoid situation when the battery in your e-cigarette is low. It is an important point.
Then I chose e-liquid - with COFFIE flavor of course! 16 mg. Espresso!.. yeah!
And when I bought e-cig, I thought - “Wow! Looks like iphone!”
I craved to unpack it and start to use it as soon as possible , but I said to myself - “No, no, no! You have 5 packs of cigarettes in your car left, so you get this present only after you will smoke all these cigarettes”. Not all at once of course. So I smoked regular cigarettes and looked forward to use electronic cigarette like a Christmas present. It is important psychological point too.
Finally “The Cristmas day ” has come - it was Friday morning. I woke up, and took charged, fueled e-cigarette. Right in my bed!!! It is not necessary to go to the special smoking area.. I “smoked” right in my bed! Morning espresso taste made me feel nice and made me smile))) no smoke stink... At that moment I realized, that I have almost reached my ‘minimum ‘’plan! I didn't want to smoke regular cigarettes any more! I also felt that 16 mg nicotine liquid gave me familiar effect as an ordinary cigarette. AT THIS POINT I HAVE TO WARN YOU! THE VAPOR NICOTINE HAS MORE SLOW EFFECT THAN SMOKE-BLACK NICOTINE. THIS IS BECAUSE THE VAPOR MOLECULES BIGGER THAN THE PARTICLES OF CARBON BLACK. So you have to wait a bit for desired effect, no longer than two or three minutes.
Right after that Friday I received some bonuses, some positive benefits as listed bellow:
1. Scents around. My nose became like police dog's nose!
2. The food taste. Boiled chicken? Oh my God! So great! So tasty!
3. Energy and positive mood! I had to do some workout before my bedtime. Because I could not fall asleep until I do some exercise . I also smiled at everyone all days)) If you are smile at everyone in Russia, people might think that you are not OK, that you are drunk or crazy, but I didn’t care)))
4. Oxygen. I really felt liquefied oxygen flowing into my lungs. Really nice feeling.
5. Much more powerful morning wood. Not morning only)))

So I used 16 mg nicotin liquid for 4 days and after that I’ve decided to try 6 mg nicotedliquid with taste(!) of grapes. Something went wrong! I vapored and vapored and vapored and could not reach the saturation. And in that day I bought the same 6 mg nicotin liquid but with the espresso(!) taste. And my life became better)))

On the 7th day of my non-smoking life I went down with the flu. Fever heat, cough - not very funny, but I didn’t vapor for all that day because of it.
On the 8th day I thought - 'I didnt vapor whole day… hmmm now I have to try non-nicotine espresso-tasted liquid.' It was not easy, but it was OK))) I vapored often, at least 2-3 times an hour that day. But next three days I felt regression of need-to-vapor. Also I had strange appetite - (for example) i ate habañero pepper a lot, one night I woke up because I really really needed some pickled mushrooms! I got dressed, went to the store, I bought a big jar and ate it all. And only after that I fell asleep. I suppose, pregnant women know what I am talking about))) But I am a man))) Then I got QUIT NOW app to observe changes in my body and to get some health improvements indicators and also to calculate cost savings)))
By the way vapor regression became more and more expressed… So on 26th non-smoking day I forgot to vapor… And I realized… I WIN! I have outsmarted the smoking! The feelings was like the song - Sweet Victory - David Glen Eisley.)))
This was in March 2013, it was a great funny time)))
Some additions:
*For three mouths since I quit every Friday evening after work I used to visit the Carl's Jr.® near my home with free-of-charge feelings because I didn’t smoke all week before)) and a bit gained weight))
*I do not want cigarette since the first non-smoking day.
*In october 2015 I smoked twice the stone with tobacco in Israel)) (((I know, I know - im bad bad))) That event is not triggered neither by relapse of smoking, nor by the desire to smoke…
*I still like coffee very much.
*In the first non-smoking year sometimes I had an nostalgia(not craving!) about smoking - and I said to myself - “No problem! Here is an electronic cigarette - take it and “smoke”it.” But I felt too lazy to even charge it. So there is no prohibition in my head. NO PROHIBITION - NO RELAPSING.
*I have been carrying e-cigarette as a power bank around for 6 months. Yes, there is a power bank function))
*I do not like vaporing at all, but as for me it's better than smoking because of its stink and carcinogenic tars. But its so much better to live without smoking or vaporing.
*I used to smoke 20 cigarettes per day for 5 years since I was twenty-seven. Pretty enough to get the addiction.
