I figured I'd let you guys see what I wrote for the wedding invitation, as I'm pretty proud of it (especially since I lost the first draft and had to wholly redo it):

"Life is a search for something greater;
and endless aching need to be part of something more than one's self
After many years, we have found exactly what it is we were meant for.

invite you to share in their joy
as they join their lives together in the happy partnership of marriage

Saturday, August the twenty-ninth
two thousand and nine
at two in the afternoon"
Then the hall information followed, of course; I certainly wanted our guests to know where it was.
(And yes; I swiped from "The Rose". So sue me.)

Actually, I'm even happier about the vows we wrote; those turned out REALLY well.
(But those will wait to be revealed until the happy day.)
(and no; "obey" isn't anywhere in them.)
(and that's by the decision of BOTH of us.)
