Happy Friday!

*Sigh* so here I am, another week gone by, but I must admit it was one of the best ones yet.

So I MUST start out with the awesome service we had last Sunday. A couple days before that, my family was in the middle of some financial tension, causing my step-dad to be a little tempermental with our money. I prayed for the sermon this week to speak to this, to offer me and my family some direction. Well, I got my wish. Firstly worship was, again, so raw and real it was beyond comprehension. I promised myself I would only lift my hands when I felt the need to, so it wouldn't become routine. I was rewared for that promise. So we settle down to hear my pastor deliver God's message to us, and loved what I heard. It focused on the story of the widow who was able to pay off her debts and keep her children safe by using a simple flask of oil. The financial focus was just what I needed, because I am, in a way, the spiritual leader of my household, and I've been obedient to God through tithing. And yet, I've seen  nothing in the form of financial blessings. Through that sermon, I was re-lit with the fire to keep obeying and seeking His face, and keep believing He'll be faithful in His promise.

So that afternoon, I gained the courage to tell my mother of my feelings about being the only one interceding for them. That burden is tough to carry, and I felt she had to know that. Perhaps sometime soon I can talk to Jordon, see where his heart's at and how he feels about Jesus.

As the sun set in a flourish of gold, my church finally launched a new ministry called Transit. Pastor Jeff talked about it constantly and it was now time to uleash that vision. It felt awkward walking amoungst so many new people, but my fears were dashed when I set eyes upon a familiar face. Jordan and I haven't seen eachother for a LONG time; she and I practically sqealed upon seeing eachother. It felt really great to see her again. So, once again, we had a time of worship, and..wow. We sang 'Healer', a song that is really close to my heart right now. It was a blessing to hear that, and my eyes welled up for the billionth time that day. Wow, it's truly something else when God is that close and worshipping Him is so flippin real. Beyond that, we had an awesome discussion about the authenticity of Christians and how we have to be real to the world around us, so that they may see what God's love really looks like. Anywho, so I met a lot of new and interesting people, like Scott, Harrison, and my friend Pete's wife, Summer.

If anything happens in church on Sunday, it is bound to spill over into the week, and it did. Wednsday was a day I had been waiting for forever.  At long last, Kurt had returned home after shooting a movie in Chicago. I had writen a story about a month ago, a story he inspired. So, accompanied by Crissy, we went to my work and sat down in Kurt's section. We chated about various things, but I was merely stalling. Finally, when he gave us our check, I handed it to him. The look on his face, the way it lit up, was priceless. That alone is why I give gifts to people...just for that look of surprise that someone actually thought of them. He was in shock, and I was exstatic. I really hope he likes it.

Tuesday was cool. A large group of my church friends came into my work, including PJ and Melissa. YAY!! I hugged PJ fiercely and showed them to their table. Melissa brought the baby, Jonah, who was as cute as can be, and he looks just like his elder brother Elijah when he was born. So I'm watching them the whole time and catching a few words of thier conversation. I love running into people I know!

And oh yeah...we got to wear JEANS to work today! What an exhillirating feeling!

Those things piled with the many conversations and laughs I shared with my co-workers, it was a pretty darn cool week. This Sunday Jeff wil be ending our Biggest Loser series with the a serrmon deticated to the Cross, the man who hung upon it ubtaining our salvation through agony and, ultimately, death. Pray that this Sunday rocks!!!
