Sometimes, a string of things keeps you from doing the things you want, but if he doesn't sound very heartbroken about it, then maybe you shouldn't take it too hard, either. Just try and keep in mind that you're trying to just be friends. It's up to you if you wanna make the friendship work. If he's not willing to help it, then maybe he's not worth keeping around.
