MUNA
Whoo. Got back from MUNA (Model United Nations Assembly) earlier today. There's I think 60 schools, two people from each, representing a country of the UN. We're Italy. =D
We have to debate on global issues from the POV of our countries, so I was glad we didn't get Japan or something, because I'd be pretty bad at arguing in favour of commercial whaling.
It was pretty cool, everyone was dressed according to their country, so there were some awesome hats working the floor. *cough*RUSSIA*cough*
A few of the people are really "Debate people". You know the type, they all talk the same...I mean, they speak very well, but with a lot of emphasis, and it just doesn't sound natural. India, Australia, Turkey and especially Saudi Arabia have people like that. That girl from Saudi Arabia could talk the ears off a donkey. Seems nice though.
Getting along well with everyone though, it's a good bunch of people.
South Africa are probably going to win Most Popular, they're quite funny. They're all dressed up as Big Game Hunters, with those ridiculous hats, and wooden rifles & spears.... =D I don't approve of hunting, but boy do they look funny.
Going in again tomorrow, I have to be seated in the chamber at 9am, so I have to catch the train at like 7:30. *sigh*
