Title: If It's The End of the World, You and Me Should Spend the Rest of it in Love
Author: alexgokart
Pairing: Jack Barakat/Alex Gaskarth
Rating: PG
Summary: The Apocolypse.
A/N: Just a little drabble that will make you want to shoot yourself in your feelings. Oh, and it took me way longer than it should have to figure out what words to capitalize in the title. I probably still got it wrong, but fuck school and burn shit.

The gates of hell had opened; the blinding sky alight with fire as horror rained down on Earth. The insignificant planet was spinning its last, just a speck of dust to be blown into vast oblivion.

The Final Judgement.

The Apocalypse.

The End of the World.

As the ground cracked under billions of feet, the molten abyss beneath the splitting rock swallowing its inhabitant’s whole, one irrelevant human called to the man beside him over the deafening sounds of terror.

“Jack!” Alex cried, fear shaken hand outstretching for the other, across the splintering floor of a nameless hotel room.

Jack stared back at his life-long friend in dismay, cheeks sodden with tears as they anticipated the end, pulling the elder close for the last human touch they’d both ever experience.

“I love you.” Alex sobbed, dust-dirtied hair twisted in knots as he gazed up at the boy he’d adored so dearly “I n-never got to t-tell you that I loved you.”

Jack’s speechless lip quivered, forehead falling to press flush against Alex’s.

“I never told you either.” He whispered, trembling fingers tangling with those of a lover who could have been; who never was “I love you, too.”

They shared one last pained smile, before the Earth gave a final shudder beneath them.
