It seems like I was watching Korean drama "Goong" for a long period of time. It feels like there will be time when I will remember October 2006 and think "I was watching Goong". And a lovely watching it was indeed ( Read more... )

Brilliant post and picspam but you left out Shin's shorts and shirt with a bib. I really think JJH must have pissed off the designer during the shooting somehow...

Sorry, I pushed the wrong button TWICE! alexandral October 31 2006, 20:29:53 UTC
Thank you so much! I am glad you enjoyed! Shirt with the blib was figuring in the spoilery situation, so I gave it a miss. :) But I know what you mean!!

But - check it up!! I added the denim shorts! I must say I have shorts EXACTLY like them and was very happy wearing them this summer :P.

Hee! next thing I will be doing icons, Though I have so many projects that my head seems to be spinning .

The designer must have had a dislike for the young guys in general because Yul had some crazy gear too.

the polka dots attack!!!! hahaha! I grew fond of them at the end, they were so different from anything one see on any street! I guess Shin would have been too good-looking otherwise, they had to do something about this!

Check it up!! By the popular demand I have added awful denim shorts to the pictures. :) I was happy wearing very similar ones this summer :P

EEEEEE! I think any of the clothes he worn I would be very happy to be seem wearing myself. It is just when I see this type of clothing on a striping young man? Then I think "WhaT????" Imagine CG wearing polka dots? Would have been sort of nice. And yes, almost formal jacket with the denim shorts = crazy designer who doesn't know that girls and boys should wear different things :)

As for the denim shorts oufit.. I saw him walking up and he looked just fine.. then I saw the shorts. WTF! They don't even match.

I liked Shin in the Royal red-and-blue costume. He never looked more attractive. That moment when he and Yul fell off the horse and Shin is full of angst because he thinks CG likes Yul? One of my ever favourite moments. And the hair ribbon? I like it!

WTF! They don't even match.

Yep. The top seems to be taken from some white suit. The middle part is denim and it seems that the lower part was cut of :)

Now I know nothing of this story - but I love the costumes, and the colours - and the way everything in the background has such amazing patterns.

And I can understand your point about the green bolero. Such a lovely colour! And such a princess garment. :)

I am so glad you like the colours! If you ever decide to give Asian entertainment a try, "Goong" is one of the best to start with. It is a typical "romance" story - at the beginning Shin the Royal Prince of Korea marries this middle-class girl Chae-gyung because of his grandfather's promise to her grandfather. You probably can guess the rest of developments :) But it is lovely an fresh and made from the popular manga.

I am really tempted to find something similar. Ok, I am shallow and mad about clothes. But they are such fun!!!

Its production values are like that of a feature film and the styling is just gorgeous.

It is probably the best so far among all I have seen in Asian entertainment.

I am not sure what AU is (I am so sorry, I am such a newcomer to all this:). But yes, though I do complain about polka dots for fun , I actually love all the costumes. It is like when watching high couture shows, one can wander about the suitability of their costumes to going down the road shopping for groceries, but at the same time it is all so INTERESTING!!!
