A very important and serious thing happened today. Draw near.
My relationship with the sandwich maker at the Newport Panera Bread escalated to a higher level of interaction today. Instead of the usual, cordially reciprocal, "how are you," she handed me an apple. She didn't put it in the bag with my 1/2 salad and 1/2 sandwich. She put it in my hand. A tiny little apple. I do not like apples, but I see no relevance in that point. When she handed me that apple, she was saying, "I think you are sexy. Like an apple. You sexy apple, you." A very meaningful gesture. We are now eternally connected through that tiny apple.
