I discovered this one in the set I was about to discard. They are actually stepped leaders before the main stroke. Stepped leaders are quite dim compared to the main stroke so I didn't notice this one at first. This time the storm passed to the south so I had to shift positions to take the photos. I don't have my car right now otherwise I would have driven to a parking deck on campus so all these shots were done through the window of the highest elevator lobby in my apartment building. I need to build a blackout box for doing that sort of thing.
