Summary: Alex's POV after the end of Loss
Note: This is my first attempt at a 1st person fan fic, so i might not have successful got into the mind of the charater. On a separate note I'm currently working on the last chapter of Head or Heart, which has been delayed due to me having a bout of writers block.
You asked me "How long?"
I didn't answer
I could have said "Not long"
But we'd both know that's not true
I could have said "Until it's safe"
But you would have said "When is it ever safe"
So i said nothing and looked away
I couldn't watch your heart break
As i was holding mine together with hope
The hope that one day I'd return to reclaim my detective
