Radicalism can go to Hell.
I wrote this on Tumblr earlier after getting into an online tussle with some dipshit vegans about the fact that human beings CANNOT get all the protein they need from plants. Aside from scientific facts, there's also the point that, if veganism was a healthy choice for children, there would already be a culture (as opposed to subculture) on Earth somewhere that was completely vegan. But there isn't. The closest there is to that is India, and even they eat fish.
Anyway, this is what I wrote:
You know, to be honest, it doesn’t fucking matter if humans can live without animal protein or not. In the end, I’m just fucking tired of all these vegans trying to force their fucking ideology on everyone else. If it was straight people saying everyone should be straight and nobody should be gay, Tumblr would be all over them in rage like ugly on a maggot. If it was dudebros saying women should get back in the kitchen, nobody would tolerate that shit. If it was white supremacists spouting their BS, they’d be shot down and blocked and maybe even banned. But because their ideology is all about “not hootin da fwuffy amnimals,” their fucking insane bullshit ideas are tolerated and even ENCOURAGED on this website. WHY?
Nobody on this site likes that kind of proselytizing most of the time, so why do vegans get a pass?
A vegan telling me I’m a piece of scum for eating meat is the same kind of bullshit as homophobia, or fat shaming, or thin shaming, or whatnot. You are belittling my choices, dehumanizing me for choosing to eat meat. Also, humanity will never in a billion years give up meat as a species. The closest society we have to an all-vegan society is India, and even they eat fish still. (Except the Jains, but that’s a religion and not a society; besides, they’re the extremists of the region.) So YOU are the unreasonable one if you think that shit is ever gonna happen.
Furthermore, I get SO FUCKING ANGRY when unhealthy life choices are forced upon children, pets, and other innocents who are denied the choice. STOP PUSHING YOUR GODDAMN FUCKING PSEUDORELIGION ON CHILDREN AND PETS! Vegans that force their fucking veganism on children and pets are like fucking goddamn anti-vaccine morons, or those dipshits that deny their kids medical care because their imaginary friend will supposedly save them if they pray hard enough.
So go ahead, fucking go into malnutrition to save the rabbits or whatever, but SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT IT ALREADY and STOP FORCING YOUR BULLSHIT ON THE INNOCENT!
And before you get on me for hypocrisy, I only shit on the radical vegans, and only when it comes up on my dash or elsewhere in my life. Because I fucking hate modeltheists! That kind of thinking may not be everything that’s wrong with the world today, but it’s responsible for everything that is.
