Photos: numerous creatures being colorful and one being cute

Or is it the other way?

Yeah, you thought the summer is over, and no more bugs. No such luck. I keep being monothematic. These are from the 7th and 13th September; one being sunny and the other cloudy. You can take your guesses which photos are which… All in the southern Poland, as usually.

This is, uh, a bee. ‘Cause you got not enough of them from me recently… What can I say, they’re just there. *g* Also, have you ever paid attention to a bee’s tongue? They look sort of cute, slurping from flowers like this, and vaguely hummingbird-like. Well, the coincidence being not coincidental…

This one’s not bee, though, even if feasting on goldenrod as well. Do we keep on with the linguistic fun? I believe bees were already introduced, but hoverfly in Polish is ‘bzyg’, and this time for the life of me I couldn’t choose which one I like better. English one is prettier, but Polish is funnier. *shrug*

And this is an obligatory dreamy-romantic and pastel-coloured… something. Apparently everyone on deviantART must have one these days, and a hundred is better. Subject doesn’t really matter. That is, actually it mattered for me, since I happen to be fond of snails, but this one happened to come off in pastel, and now I feel properly if accidentally fashionable.

However, I can hear this one sneering. “You think you know anything about fashionable, eh?”

Some prefer less extravagancy in colour, but make up for this in form. I love the structure of butterfly wing. With this photo I recommend the full view more than with the rest (meaning that with the others it rewarding, too. ;) I’m far from happy with the overall focus, but at least some parts… Oh, and at the previous time I told the species, but I forgot about just ‘butterfly’, which is ‘motyl’ in Polish.

And these lacy structures are fascinating, too, though rather sadly frayed. Polish for dragonfly (huh, does it have to be almost always something-fly?) is ‘ważka’, but this particular species is Ruddy darter (Sympetrum sanguineum), that is ‘szablak krwisty’, meaning something like ‘saber-shaped blood-coloured’. A male one.

And I promised also cute, right? Well…
“This is my ‘cute’ face”
Most certainly. *g*

So, that’s it. For now. :>
