So I got a holidays, sort of. Remember that place
I’ve written once about? It’s not that I had inspected it properly inside out, there’s much more to see and have fun there. And obviously I couldn’t let it escape me. :) So, again, you’re about to being treated to a typical set of someone’s holiday pics. Yeah, I’m that sadistic.
It’s 21 July 2013, all ones in this entry. Below is a view on Palenica Mt., which is apparently regarded so popular that it doesn’t need own Wiki page in English, since everyone knows it fine anyway. But you can have
a virtual walk instead. ;) The photo has been taken right from the Polish-Slovakian border, facing the north. The slope is used for skiing in winter, and I can’t say I liked what the infrastructure made with the look of the place, but well, at least the red roof makes a nice accent for a photo. It’s an inn. Behind it, the more futuristic looking blue-metal-and-glass roof half hidden in the forest is the top station of a chairlift. Far away to the left you can see the village of
Krościenko.

Once you’ve decided you’re bored with Palenica, you can go back down. To climb another mountain, of course. And since it’s a land of water springs, this tiny cabin is a well. I think so. It was rustling and gurgling inside.

It’s also a land of butterflies. Seriously, all you need to see a swallowtail there is climb some peak. Whichever. I’ve seen some ten times my up-to-time lifetime share of swallowtails, really. (Oh, and I lied, sorry - butterflies aren't from the same day; it's only the first three, and the rest is from following days. But the other, non-butterfly photos are honestly 21 July).
Not only butterflies though. This one thought itself well hidden… No such luck! :> A fly of the genus Dialysis, I suppose.

And once you’re out of forest, you can snatch some ice cream and sit in a park, staring at this, until it stares back. :) It could, really, there was enough of eyes. It had plenty and plenty of colorful koi fishes underwater and dragonflies huge like helicopters, hovering above the surface.

As I said,
Pieniny Mountains have too much fun to cram it all in one trip, and all the more in one post. That’s why this one is a part, the first one. Stay tuned. I hope? :)
