(no subject)
Bah, I hate irony. Last night I planned out in-depth the jumping exercises I would do with Noelle today-- there were five or six, all designed to make her a better jumper. Unfortunately... my plans hinged on the forecast being correct when it predicted no rain. It hadn't rained for the past three days, and wasn't supposed to until Thursday. Right. *snort* This happens to be /every/ time I plan to do this, thus foiling aforementioned nicely laid plans. Its not just the weather itself, but the fact at least 1/3 of the yard is solid mud. As much as I want her to be ready for the trial I'm aiming for (I've even made lists of things I need to get done and/or work on! Entries don't even open until March 26th, and they don't close until the middle of May), there are always other trials. I can't, however, replace her mobility should she hurt herself jumping on an unsafe surface. So... Friday or Saturday's the earliest I'll get to work on it probably, since it takes at least two days for the ground to dry well enough. Assuming it doesn't rain, at least =P Tonight I'll just do weave poles and do handling work on one (low) jump, which I can set up safely on a patch of ground that's /not/ mud.
I've finally been getting back into RP on PotP. Maybe this will actually *gasp* motivate me! I've been in such a slump lately, ugh. I guess being sick didn't help but that's not really an excuse to slack off either *prod self* Ah well, its nice to have RP again. Poor Ales has been gathering dust ;) Have been plotting a few more ideas, once I get the current set of RPs out of the way... something to make RP more than just the standard Keeperish stuff for me. (*cries* no more tea! *just can't take it anymore =P*)
