(no subject)
Today's V-Day! No, not Valentine's...visa! My FLR(M) application is going in the post at lunchtime. Not to jinx it, but if mine takes 10 days like anerise's, I'll be a VERY happy Megan.
Not even nervous, I just am SO SICK of seeing those blue Home Office forms (THREE in the past SEVEN MONTHS) that I want the thing to be over and done with. It's not even exciting anymore - a step beyond annoying is what I would call it.
In other news...not much else! Gareth's been on a mission to learn Chinese, so in the process of helping him study, I'm basically learning it, too. It's of course very different from the standard Latin-based learning I'm used to, but already my brain is starting to pick up patterns. It feels good to be doing something constructive and working towards a goal other than random shit on the internet. I've also been shooting off quite a good number of job applications, but no nibbles yet (don't expect much, as some of the stuff I'm applying is on whims even though I'm missing a tiny bit of relevant experience). Same ol' same ol' elsewhere.
