Unplanned vacation! :-P
Oh, so in a surprising turn of events, we're going to stay in a hotel tonight! I jumped quick at an offer on one of my message boards (the one where I get all money tips and competitions from :D) to take over their booking for a room they got in Hoxton's 500 rooms for £1 sale. This is the same swank hotel we stayed in right after getting back from our wedding, so yay! Anyway, I was the first to respond, so now we get to stay there tonight! People on there are so nice - if they don't want/can't make things, there's always offers for hotel booking or tickets to an event, etc. It only cost the original person £1, so it's not like I feel bad for seizing the opportunity :D.
Since we'll be in the area, we're going to try out another curry place, close to the one where we took Anne-Marie and Jonathan (twice!) when they were here. Not that I don't love the original restaurant, but I like to compare and see which is better. Yum, cheap authentic Indian food.
Gareth's off early to East Anglia tomorrow to do some research for his writing project. He's going to leave straight from the hotel, as it's actually about a 10 minute walk from the train station he needs (again, total luck here), and I get a day at home to myself to do some cleaning and girlie, alone things (which usually involves watching trashy TV, lol).
In other news, there was a solar eclipse today! It was only 12% in Britain, but I saw the full deal from the Artic Circle in Russia on BBC News. Kewl.
