Amazon and E-books

Mar 29, 2008 22:35

In theory, the idea of a large online retailer like Amazon selling e-books is a great idea, a step in the right direction. In reality, the way that they choose to implement it...well, in my mind I imagine an army of lawyers, a million meetings, and the consumers as sheep chained together led to slaughter. Even so, I went and browsed the Kindle store a little bit. And already they're doing it wrong on the first page. I have no clue why in the world an e-book should be more expensive than a paperback, on a $400 crippled device no less *disgusted*. See interesting post: The Future of Reading (A Play in Six Acts).
