Putting things off.

It really annoys me when Jordan doesn't do something when I ask him to. Instead he waits hours or even days later. He says it's something to do with naturally not liking to do things that people tell him to. But seriously? I'm asking, not telling, and this stuff needs to be done. Example: I asked him to phone the cable company to change our service to our new address. I didn't want to be going like a week without cable because we took too long to phone and they wouldn't have an appointment times. He finally phoned yesterday and we won't have internet until June 2nd. Which isn't horrible, because we'll just spend the first night unpacking. But it could have been worse! I would have phoned myself but the account is in his name. Second, I asked him ages ago to ask his boss if we can use her one ton truck to move again. He hates her, so he kept putting it off. Meanwhile, her daughter is moving in here when we leave, so I had this feeling that she's lent the truck to her. He finally asked yesterday and low and behold, the truck is lent out. I wish I knew this earlier because then it took me phoning four different companies today to find one that had a one ton left for us to rent. Luckily, my dad is paying for it. I was getting scared that we wouldn't have a truck. Finally the last person I called (which was the last UHaul in Parksville/Nanaimo area) had one. Not for two days like we wanted, though. So that sucks. But they'll call us if it comes back early on the 31st.

This is one of the reasons I took control about finding a new place, too. He would have been all wishy-washy.. looking around at everything before making a decision. When you're renting, you can't do that. You take the first thing you see that you like, because it'll be gone the next day if you don't. On most of the island, anyway. I didn't want to be freaking out half way through the month because we didn't have a place to live yet. I actually ninja'd the place we got, because he insisted on seeing it before we applied. (Even though he said he trusted my judgment, but that doesn't sound like he does.. lol) And once he had a look the next day, I handed them our cheques and everything, didn't even ask if he liked it or not lol. I realized later and apologized. But I'm damn sure he would have said something if he didn't want to live there.

Six more days.. six more days... :) Can't friggin wait!

moving, jordan, rants
