maybe another 9 month hiatus wouldn't be so bad...

I need time (A LOT of time) to regroup my bearings after seeing this one.

omg, I'm still so shocked over this one. In addition to the usual mindfuckery - in tons- it was so heartbreaking.

Let's start from the beginning, more or less.

OFF ISLAND flash forward
1. First impression: Sayid! Playing golf? lol. But he looked good.
Oh no, please spare me the usual Italian annoying chatty guy.
...Wait, now that he knows Sayid's name, he's scared, why?
...WTF??? HE SHOT HIM!

So, after reaching the end, we know why he's scared. I'm so sad to see Sayid in that position. But oh, how heroic that he followed his heart and found himself at Ben's service in order to save his friends. Heartbreaking, as well.

That girl, Elsa, had me fooled. I'm sorry for Sayid, he always loses the women he loves.

He looked hot throughout the episode, but in that scene on the helicopter he was simply gorgeous.
So, he's one of the Oceanic 6. I'm glad to hear that. If there's someone who can find a way out of the crazy post-island situation they are in, it's Sayid. Let's hope so.

2. does that mean that Ben is one of the Oceanic 6? mmm... I don't think so, but I'm not sure.

ON ISLAND
3. Jack asking Sayid for advice, and Sayid politely and wisely telling him that he has to stay back. Finally! That's the way leadership should work... two head, each one with his faults and strong points, talking.

4. Locke makes himself look like an idiot in looking for that damn cabin.
Go, Hurely, stand up for yourself!

5. Good dialogue between Kate and Jack.
Now you know what it feels like to be me.
-Does that mean I should wait 20 minutes and ago anyway?
HA! and LOL. I don't remember Jack being this funny and snarky back in the previous seasons. It always surprises me, and I love it!

and then, one of the most beautiful moments...
"Sawyer won't let him" awwwwwww. I thought that, as well, but I'd never have thought he would say that. Jack trusts Sawyer with Kate's life. That's only right, but so good to hear it. Respect and trust had been so difficult to achieve for them, and I'm glad to see it acknowledged.

6. Sayid is putting his judgement on the boaties on hold until he knows more. Well done. Wow, it's so refreshing how reasonable he is.

7. so, Miles doesnt't know about Dharma, and Dan found a 31 mins discrepancy between the island time and the off-island time. Interesting. Why taking the same route you had for coming to the island would help you in going back, I don't know. Still, intriguing anyway.

8. Hurley - I fell completely for this one. Locke is enough a bastard to to something like that for real. And I'm so sorry that Hurley betrayed Sayid's team. This seems a sort of cheapening of his character that the authors did... I didn't like it very much. After all, even if courage had never been one of his strong suits, this is the same Hurley that had gone to the rescue in the S3 finale.

Also, don't you dare compare Miles to Sawyer!! Even though Hurley's line "Awesome." made me laugh.

9. so, the first thing Jack asks about the outside world is about the Red Sox. And apparently it's the thing he misses most. Also, 100 days? Wow, he's incredibly good at keeping track of time - shouldn't he know that it's Christmas, then?

10. Hi, Desmond! Well, this one was easy for him. He arrived and everything had already been done, he simply had to jump on the chopper and fly away. So, does that mean he's one of the Oceanic 6? Probably, but not for sure.

11. Kate and Sawyer.
I liked the shift from James to Sawyer and from Kate to freckles. That part of dialogue seemed more heartfelt, to me.
Sawyer's lines "I ain't looking to leave" and "Why don't we find out?" brought tears to my eyes. I'm sure in my heart that Sawyer will stay on the island. However, given the grim life the Oceanic 6 are living, maybe he is really making the best choice. But I'm so sorry fo him, he's so broken and desperate and hopeless and alone. *hugs him*

12. Jack and Sayid
So, they really are a great pair.
"Wish me luck"
"Good luck. Send me a postcard."
This is true friendship. The one Sayid is sacrificing himself for in the FF.

And yet Jack's so broken because Sawyer is still on the island. Oh please, let the boys have a few moments of happiness!

Overall, a great episode, but it left me sad and drained.*sighs*
