Great weekend!
Despite the loss the gators took this weekend, I still had a great time down at the stadium. It was a damn good game, each team fighting for every touchdown. I had the chance to go into the game and I chose to stay outside of the stadium at the bar they had set up with my man. I got to meet a large chunk of his family as they are all die hard Georgia fans, most alumni. (its a long running family tradition since they are all from georgia)
my day began at 7am when i rolled out of bed, showered and left to meet sarah and her family downtown. we made it to the tailgators parking area at 815 and got a terrific spot that wasn't muddy at all. I started drinking my first beer at 930 and then around 1130 it started raining and continued to do so until about 230. I'm so glad I had planned ahead and brought a change of clothes and an umbrella! my group of 7 friends went into the game at 3 and i met up with the boyfriend shortly after that.
After Georgia won we hung out with his family for about an hour and then left to go sing karoke at a local bar about 15 minutes away. They were having a contest for the best karoke singer of the night. My man won! He puts on such a good show and really shows how much he wants to win. Won cash! Enough to cover all the beer and liquor all day plus some. I was so proud of him. I didn't compete because I only go to hang out with him and also sing a few songs so I can get more confident being in front of people. the first song i sang was "can't fight this feeling anymore" by Reo Speedwagon and I was so nervous. I was shaking so hard I thought I was going to drop the mic at one point. The 2nd song was over 2 hours later "Angel" by Sarah Mclaughlin. That song has been one of my favorites for years and according to the crowd I did a damn good job even on the high parts. Beer helps with the nervous feeling so by that point I was just having fun with it. I bought a cd about a month ago that has 80s songs on it and my man and I sang "don't you want me" by Human League. It was sooooo much fun!
I got to sleep in sunday morning and then headed to my aunt's house in middleburg to get michaela. She had a great weekend too! My aunt is so amazing with michaela and they have a wonderful time with eachother. Thanks Megs! I love you!!
