A Celebration of a Passing...
Well, it's official...
My time absent at the Relay was too much. I no longer am employed there. How did this happen? Well, as I stated in a journal entry not THAT long ago, I was absent for just over a month with stomach issues. Then, I got better and returned to work. Then I contracted a nasty viral throat infection that all but stole my voice for a week. After having tolerated the first lengthy absense, this second one was too much. I can't honestly say that I blame them.
Now, interestingly, I'm not at all depressed by this. In fact, I'm feeling fairly jubilant. Not because working at Relay was bad (it wasn't!) or because I know where my income is going to come from (I don't), but because I have this enormous sense of opportunity opening up before me. I am going to explore this feeling this weekend and tell you what I come up with.
