Good News and Bad News
The good news is that as of around 11:30 this morning, Mary passed her driving test and is now a licensed driver. Congratulations, Mary!
Now for the bad news.
No, she didn't have a wreck on the way home and no, it's not the increase in insurance cost. Instead, in what might be a world record, less than 90 minutes after getting her license, we have already had to threaten to take it away.
Why?
As it turns out, we have a showing scheduled this afternoon at 2:00 (I think). Calliope and Mary had to come straight home from the DMV office to start getting the house ready for the showing. Mary was apparently not happy with the fact that they didn't have time for an ice cream celebration and got back in bed. As of a few minutes ago, she was still in bed refusing to get up and help get the house ready.
Calliope wanted me to come home and help, but I can't. One of the guys I work with will be out starting tomorrow because his wife is scheduled for a cesarean section to deliver their baby tomorrow. I have to go over all of his stuff so I can handle any problems that crop up. I told him all about this and told him stuff like this will be happening to him 16 years from tomorrow.
