I didn't get home until rather late last night. A bunch of us headed to Rafferty's after work and met Al, a former member of our gang, for a few beers. We were all really glad to see him again. When it got down to just 3 of us left, we decided to head over to another close by restaurant, The Yellow Porch, for dinner. It's a bit upscale for the neighborhood, in my opinion, but I hear that it's packed every day for lunch. We had no wait for dinner. The service was great and the food was even better.
It was around 9:00 pm when I finally got home. I fiddled around on my computer for a little bit and watched parts of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report before heading to bed. For some reason, I was having trouble getting to sleep so when Calliope finally came to bed, we decided we could put sleeping off for a little while longer. ;)
Things seem to have settled back down at work today. No fires burning. I've been thanked by both my immediate boss and his boss for my efforts over the weekend and on Monday. That felt nice.
My buddy Tony is back to work now and is actually spending most of his work days at an office close to mine. I invited him to come over and have lunch with me here. We had breakfast for lunch today! Maybe one of these days we'll make a lunch run out to Hooters. :D
EDIT:
I forgot to mention that I talked to my nurse practitioner yesterday about the biopsy of my mole. She said that the results came back benign but that there were some cells around the edge. She was going to get a second opinion from the dermatologist that she usually refers patients to and see if the mole should be completely removed as a precaution.
I also rescheduled the sleep study I was supposed to go to tonight until April 9th. I still don't honestly know if I want to spend over $1500 out of my own pocket on it but it will be easier to make that decision once I know what my tax liability is. That, of course, means I need to get back to work on my taxes.
