just received an email from yahoo informing me that:
1) delicious has been bought by the founders of youtube
2) in order to continue having access to my bookmarks, i must agree to transfer them to "AVOS" by july
3) AVOS is the brand new company youtube has created to handle the delicious line of business
4) if i do not agree to transfer my bookmarks, my delicious accounts will no longer be accessible and my bookmarks will be lost
sounds fair enough. at least a big company has purchased delicious - and one that is user-friendly - so hopefully i can expect a smooth transition from here onwards. i don't particularly care who "owns" delicious in the background as long as my bookmarks are not lost, the URLs remain the same, and the new interface doesn't involve a high learning curve.
in other news, i woke up at 4am this morning to finish coding the tuesday edition of
spnnewsletter. then i got ready and went to work. however, in my extremely fatigued state, i had 2 tablespoons of cough syrup instead of 2 teaspoons, i.e. 6x the recommended dosage. understandably, i was a stoned zombie at work for most of the morning :|
came home and went directly to bed, only to be woken up by a friend's phonecall at 9:30pm. i was so disoriented that i thought it was 9:30am the next morning, and hung up on said pal b/c i was freaking out about being late to work :P i couldn't understand why my alarm hadn't gone off, why it was still so dark outside, or why my iphone said 9:30pm. so i called back my buddy and confirmed that it was still wednesday night and not thursday morning like i'd initially thought :D
tl;dr - COUGH SYRUP, Y U MAKE ME SO CRAZY?
