eep! just 3 more days!

But in good news, I have decided which story I am for certain going to focus on (barring sudden writer's block on November 1 like last year, of course).

Sticking with the one I mentioned: non-genre fiction about self-discovery. <----what? that's not enough of a description?

It should be easy for a few reasons:

--I'm writing about what I know
--I'm going to include bonafide journal posts, which should bolster the word count easily because I can be my wordy, babbling self in them
--my recent indulgence in Korean drama will help keep it fed, since I would label this story a drama
--I'm keeping my zany, ecological heroine who will be fun to write about

And it will be hard for a few reasons:

--I'll be delving into my old journals for added inspiration, which may trigger some nostalgia and a slackened desire to write
--I don't have a well-devised plot, so it's going to be an everyday struggle deciding which way to go with my 1667 words
--I have so much material I've toying with including that it'll become sloppy
--it'll also be skirting the border between reality and fiction pretty closely, which, as I mentioned earlier, is always a struggle for me.

Unfortunately, I'm still in the middle of two novels. I quit that one I posted about a few days ago because it quite suddenly shifted to stupidity. But then I had to frantically try to read two others (one at work, one at home), one of which is over 1000 pages. So...we'll see.

Also, as has become a SO not amusing trend...I'm at the start of a bad cold. The don't-look-down-or-your-nose-will-drip kind. Seems like I've been sick to varying degrees for every NaNoWriMo I've participated in. Seriously, body?! Just to spite the Girl Who Never Gets Sick?

But the excitement has already started to set in! Characters and plot devices and scenes are already starting to dwell in my mind. :D
