I thought I would be done with the second book for the Strange and Wonderful fiction posts, but no such luck.

The temperature outside dropped quite drastically. I think it was something like 65 last night (what is it in C, around 16-18?). It's really nice during the day.

A brief update, since I haven't posted in a while.

Irish is progressing nicely, two weeks left in this level. The next level starts in April. It is entirely possible I will someday actually speak this language.

Went yesterday to Tibet House to attend a talk by Sharon Salzberg on meditation. It was very good. She is very funny, explains everything ( Read more... )

Everybody smokes everywhere. I have a feeling I will have lung cancer before my contract is up. It is not really surprising that everybody chain smokes given the cheap price of cigarettes.
