JE Sports Fest Fan Meet-Up 2010

Concept: JE fans come together to play friendly sports/games in teams against each other as they play to represent their favorite JE idols!

Reason: Because I wanna do more than just be stuck in a karaoke room. XD;

When: Not yet confirmed
Someday between the 1st to 4th week of August. (I go back to college on August 30th) Is a WEEKEND or a WEEKDAY better for you guys? I’m a lazy bum with no classes or job to hold me back. XP; Please tell me what days you prefer! ALSO, what time frame of the day would you prefer as well?

Sports/Games: Not yet confirmed
Track - Relay, Dash, etc
Soccer
Kickball
Baseball/Softball/Wiffleball
Basketball
Tennis
Beach Flag race
Onigokko/Hide-and-seek
Jump Rope
Frisbee
Any other suggestions!? JE-inspired games welcomed! Minor sports, anyone?

To be honest, the only sport I am totally NOT confident in, in terms of rules of the game, is soccer. But, there will be a poll done eventually on the top 4-5 sports/games chosen. We only have 1 day so we can’t do everything. X3;
My family has equipment for soccer, track, basketball, tennis, and some softball but not so much to possibly provide for a whole team like for baseball/softball gloves. So /pitching/ in would be appreciated! -kicks-

Location: Not yet confirmed
Haha, I wish I considered this aspect a little more but the place I pictured in my mind was my local town’s public park Michael J. Tully Park in North Hempstead. It says it is under construction but I THINK it is completed already, If it’s not… then uh, I need to research more. X3; The thing is that, it is located on Long Island but I can easily provide transportation via my car from the nearest metro stops from Subway (F train - 179 Jamica), Bus (Q43, Q46, Q17, N22, N24, etc), LIRR (New Hyde Park, Jamaica, etc) to the park. Abuse the fact that I have a car plz. XD;

Unless someone else can suggest a better, more convenient location to hold the event please tell me!

There were others who expressed interest but I would like them to really state their interest here~
I would ideally like 20 people to participate so that there are 10 to a ‘team’. But I would be happy if even 12 people are definitely set to participate! We can adjust rules to fit for 6 people in each team. If you want to be a cheerleader, I’m okay with that too! XD;

As for teams, we can either have teams similar to JE’s where players were divided into J-Red and J-White. Unless other express interest in otherwise, I’m gonna stick to that. XD;

There is a slight possibility of making custom uniforms if people think it’s a good idea and are interested in it. It would be fun to be able to semi-professionally print your player’s name and a number of your choice on the back.
Otherwise, players will just be prompted to wear colors according to their assigned teams. But, we can work out something just as nice in a more… creative and…. frugal manner. XD;

No athletic experience necessary! Just have fun!

I can’t really think much right now of anything else to add. If there is something I left out or you have questions/comments/opinions about please don’t be afraid to bring them forward! I’d appreciate any input ya’ll have!
