HAPPY belated 24th BIRTHDAY MASUDA TAKAHISA!
(I'd give Jin some love too but flying all the way to LA should be enough for now. XD;;)

I remember when Massu turned 20 and I still couldn't help but think, "No way could Massu be 20! He still acts and looks like a kid!"
Massu always carries a 'cute' image and free, welcoming air with his smile. His smile is seriously the brightest thing in the world.
The cuteness is still always with him but lately, I couldn't help but notice and love how really maturely handsome he's been getting (especially in Soukon)!
Massu used to really be wavering on the middle of my ranking list when it came to my favorites in NEWS but he is definitely now my 2nd or 3rd favorite member. (Of course Shige is the 1st; Massu is competing with Ryo for the 2nd spot XD;)
Massu~~~~ ♥

I've been reading Kanjani8's "Honma ni Kanjani8!!" manga, especially due to a certain person's mention of some JE-related manga. Luckily for me, someone with less-than-elementary-level Japanese skills, the manga has the furigana over the kanji, which is really important for me! Kanji is my definite weakness in Japanese; next to grammar. XD; So, I've been trying to loosely translate certain parts for myself. It never goes right.

So, I figured that I should go with something more simple to start with.
When I was in Japan in the summer of 2009, I randomly bought this NEWS episode book called "Peace NEWS" or "Piece NEWS" I'm not sure which! (Judging from the puzzle pieces on the cover it could be 'piece'?) XD;
Haha, I was reading the chapter guide and one of them said "Koyama-kun & Kato-kun's "Dream trip to New York". I was like, "fdsjgshfjgjk MUST BUY." XD;; Thank you so much to one of my Japanese TA's who helped me read what the hell it said. Only because it said New York, my TA excitedly pointed it out to me since it's where I'm from.

ANYWAY, to practice, I used one of the one-picture scenes from the book, specifically the KoyaShige in NY one. XD

I had to look up what the hell the kanji 入浴剤 was and I was given 'bath powder'. I figured that bath salt would be better to use. AND, only until I read the whole sentence out loud I had come to realize that it'd probably a pun? XD;; It makes me wanna kick Koyama. Haha, I find it hard to see the humor if I'm too busy being frustrated. XD;;

What Shige was saying was literally "You're a grade/elementary schooler!" but that sounded kinda weird so I changed it a little. IDK if it's okay. D:

I actually thought that the joke of the scene was of Koyama mistaking Western furikake (rice seasoning) for bath salt. That, or Koyama's in lala-land. o.o

And yeah, I couldn't help but translate the mayonnaise bottle too. XD;;;

I desperately tried to translate the parts in the bottom of the picture but I have no confidence in it at all!
In Koyama's flowery speech bubble, I got something about Koyama buying some (bath salt?) for Shige to share? Then he says his bath salt/ New York pun again. And then, how good it feels~
For the very bottom part, I had no idea. From what I got, it says something about Shige being bothered by one of Koyama's old dad jokes that was really funny to him, but Shige thought he was serious?
I don't know. Help. OTZ

So that's pretty much it from me. I spent all morning doing that. XD;;;
I still owe some serious journal entries but.... I'll do that later. X3;;;
