On Fandom and Feeling Like Crap
House was cool tonight. Well, what I saw of it; baseball was on and House started late. But it was very good, just like last week's ep.
Okay, now some RL stuff, under the cut for people who don't want to read it.
My oldest nephew (I have two) is in the first grade. I help him with his homework two days a week when my sister goes to school. I also babysit him when my sister has overtime at work, when she wants to go out, that kind of thing. Well, my sister had overtime today, so I helped my nephew with his homework. My sister also told me that he had some unfinished work. Now, I thought she said the work was due on Thursday, but she told me that she said it was due tomorrow. So I misunderstood, my nephew has to stay up late to finish the work, and my sister is mad at me. Needless to say, I don't feel like a very good aunt right now.
I know that this kind of thing might seem unimportant, that he might not remember this very well when he grows up, but it matters to me now. Poor kid is going to be even more cranky tomorrow morning and who knows how my sister's going to feel about me. I hope she doesn't stay mad, but I know that she'll repeat everything she says to me a million times, now that this has happened..
