I had some trouble picking CCR for this one because, like Nine Inch Nails, the "band" only really had one creative force. Still, they combined my favorite music genres and I loved that their music often combined dark lyrics with a peppy tempo. Bad Moon Rising is the most upbeat song about the apocalypse ever.
