Seder No. 1

Apr 20, 2008 11:55

So I basically took over the first seder this year (and plan to do the same thing tonight), and it was awesome.  Our yearly goal is to start by 7:30 - yesterday we actually began at 7:38, and rather than have our seder last until past midnight, under my neurotic command the seder ended at 10:48.  Because I am that badass.  It also came out this morning that my cousin David, who was not in attendance, used to try to drag out the seders until past midnight just so he could say that we were going for more than a day.

I read footnotes again.  Not all of them, but a bunch!  Because I love the 'Palestinian sage of the X century' footnotes.  I'm messed up like that.  Katy seemed to survive the seder, but it was an incredibly small one.  Ten people.  Pff.  Tonight we're having eighteen, I believe.  Maybe seventeen; someone may have dropped out.  No matter.  I will attempt to hijack this seder, too.  Howard seemed pleased by my gung-ho attitude, but Ed was pissy about my (bright omfg orange) kippah and the ZOMG NOT-EVEN-TWO GLASSES of wine I had (my family is pretty paranoid that anyone under the age of twenty five will instantly turn into an alcoholic because of one of my cousins).

I think I hold the family record for leading the shortest seder.

Blackberry wine.  MmmmmmMM~
