Day 3 - Chef who lives on cigarettes and alcohol

For one week, recommend / share:
Day 1: a song
Day 2: a picture
Day 3: a book
Day 4: a site
Day 5: a youtube clip
Day 6: a quote
Day 7: whatever tickles your fancy

I wholly and highly recommend ANYTHING by Anthony Bourdain- his cookbooks, his real books, his food porn caption books detailing his tv shows- anything where he uses his writing voice, read it. Let yourself fall into a world of culinary art, forget your biases against this food or that food, and let go. Prepare for a vicarious adventure unlike any other.

I can't suggest this one enough. It's his second novel, and it's the start of his later travel series, No Reservations. This one was with the Food Network, and he has many naughty things to say about it. An excellent, excellent read.

I went paintballing today, then ate a steak. I think I've met and crossed the manliness threshold for today. Me and miishal had an epic shootout after I killed everyone else left- it was just me and her, with me sniping her from a tower. As paintballs splattered against the wall in front of me, I waited for the shower to stop before flipping around and aiming. All I could think was "this is some sniper wolf shit right here." I ran out of balls, unfortunately- so her team won. I paid her back with a blood blister to the shoulder later, though.
