Devastating, to Pete and to us readers, darling, and beautifully written. This is a really entrancing relationship, now on a new level, though neither of them really knows what that level is! I agree with everything said above ... I don't think I could put it better. I adore the way you're developing their relationship, it's getting me all misty-eyed and thinking about the similar section of Bound Together, although you're (hopefully) going to take it in a slightly different direction ... ;)
In short, keep it up. It's picking up pace, and I like where it's headed.
Beautifully done. Your Carl is heartbreakingly bleak. Loved your Peter in this. Connecting so strongly with Carl, then realising how broken he is. The last bit was really touching. xxx

As for 'gutter or the stars'...I think it's weaving drunkenly along the pavement at the moment ;D. And yes, going to exit that metaphor before I mess it up or start rambling about Wilde, because I am obsessed and that is what I think of as soon as I see the words 'gutter' and 'stars' anywhere near each other :p.
I have absolutely no objection to Wilde ramblage! I can go on for a fair while m'self ;) Ever read William Burroughs? I can rant about him for a fair old while too - 'choreographed as a ballet' and all tha'...
Shall add to my list of books to read after these damned exams are done though (well...naked lunch is already on there, due to be nabbed from the library as soon as I get a spare moment) :D....got any particular recommendations for burroughs?

Awww, sorry! I did feel rather mean towards Carl in this part, but the fic-writing part of my brain is evil and wouldn't be stopped.
And everyone should have a Carl to cuddle...would make the world a better place!
