Goto with egg

Aug 15, 2011 22:46

Goto is a porridge of glutinous rice in chicken broth.  In most cases, it would have tripe or chicken.  In this instance, it was a quick lunch while grocery shopping.  The peddler suggested I get egg in it.  As I looked back up to check on the dish he was steadily placing on my tray, I noticed a hard boiled egg.  Unusual to me, the hard boiled egg.  I was expecting a fresh egg to be added onto the hot porridge where it would cook as it cooled (much like a real egg-drop soup gets it's name).  After a spoonful of chili and a freshly squeezed lime, it hit the spot.

Kevin came to the picnic table with Jamaican patties.  He chose the spicy version but was not as spicy as he had expected.  (LAME).
