Frankly, I'm Exhausted

Went to the hospital this morning to see mom. She's awake and to herself, but she was very sleepy. I brought the eye drops her eye doctor wants her to use daily for pressure, so the nurses can give them to her. She said she only has a pain where they did the surgery when she coughs, but she also has a morphine pump in case she DOES get into pain. I had the same thing back when I had surgery on my esophagus. Also, for the most part at the time, I only had pain if I had to cough. I only stayed with her a couple of hours, she kept dozing off, so I decided to come home and let her try to rest, which is difficult to do in a hospital, even in the ICU!

However, I'm JUST NOW sitting down to "rest" myself. After getting home, I decided to go ahead and do the laundry which was piling up in the hamper. While it was washing, I ate lunch. After eating (and laying down a while due to the dizziness/rapid heartbeat I get sometimes after eating), I put the stuff in the dryer. For some reason, maybe because it was looking terrible from neglect, I decided to sweep/mop the bathroom floor, using the last of the Pine Sol in the process (wrote some on the shopping list). Also, now that the washing machine was empty, I tossed the bathroom rug and the rug on the side of my bed into it.

During the above activities, the mail had ran, and two Amazon packages were on the front porch. One was the wireless doorbell system I ordered, since if someone knocks on the door under the carport, and if mom is in the livingroom watching TV and I'm back here in my bedroom at the desktop computer, neither of us can hear the knocking. We missed a visitor last week because of that. I ordered one with two outside buttons and two indoor receivers. Decided to go ahead and install it this afternoon. I put one button at the front door, the other on the door under the carport. I placed one receiver in the livingroom, the other in my bedroom. We might not know WHICH door someone is at, but at least we'll know to check if the bell goes off.

Next was the movie "Hey There, it's Yogi Bear" on Blu-ray. Either the kid in me is coming out, or the nostalgia I have for things I watched as a kid. I'm guessing it's probably a bit of both.I vaguely remember seeing a re-release of the film in the early 1970's in the theater as a kid (film was originally released in 1964). Last night, I watched around half of "Looney Tunes: Collector's Choice Vol.1" on the Blu which arrived a few days ago. Will probably watch the rest this evening. These discs will be added to the many other animated DVDs/Blu-rays already in my collection.
