Wednesday's CT Scan Results

Apr 03, 2020 11:27

Just got home from my follow-up to Wednesday's CT scan procedure. Doctor said all looked well, except for my stomach area being oddly placed, but that is normal after having part of your esophagus removed. They have scheduled my next esophageal dilation procedure for next Wednesday morning. Hopefully it won't be delayed again.

Results of the CT scan copied from the online "My Chart" page from Ochsner LSU Shreveport Monroe:

EXAMINATION:
CT CHEST ABDOMEN PELVIS WITH CONTRAST (XPD)

CLINICAL HISTORY:
Patient with 3 month history of productive cough, chest xray findings-right middle lobe atelectasis, possibly empyema, needs further evaluation;

COMPARISON:
None.

FINDINGS:
A gastric pull-through is again seen and shows no evidence of acute complication. A previously described encapsulated fluid collection in the posterior right hemithorax has resolved. No nodules or masses are seen. No infiltrates or pleural effusions are seen. No significant mediastinal or hilar lymphadenopathy is seen.

The liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, and adrenal glands have a normal appearance.

There are diverticula in the distal colon. I see no evidence of diverticulitis. The bladder appears normal. No free fluid is seen.

The osseous structures are unremarkable.
