Staying in Bolton tonight. Was in Redditch (near Birmingham) earlier, and last night. Was in Leeds yesterday.
Drove past Appleby on the way to Leeds yesterday morning... it's where the annual horse fair had just happened. It's where the gypsies / travellers gather each year. It was interesting to see all the caravans and "bowtops" parked in the fields beside the A66. A few horse-drawn bowtop gypsy wagons were making their way home and slowing down traffic.
