Mr. Messy
We had an unusually messy day yesterday babysitting Adam. The poor little guy has apparently caught the winter vomiting bug, aka Norovirus.
He was fine for a while in the morning. He and I were playing with his toys in his room (Jenny's old room) as usual, but then after Linda and Jenny had to go out for a while, Adam all of a sudden threw up in the kitchen, and not just a tiny bit. Luckily, as I was on my own, it wasn't too bad to clean up as it was in the kitchen. He got a bit on his sleeve and on his trousers,tho, so I had to change him. No big deal, and he wasn't upset by it. We were both quite calm throughout.
So I sat him down to watch "Mr. Men" and gave him a drink and some raisons, everything was fine, but then he got up and started walking toward the hall... then threw up a second time. I got him to the bathroom sink where he threw up all his raisons that he just ate.
Shortly afterward, Linda and Jenny came back... and later on during the course of the morning Adam threw up all over Jenny's lap. Everyone took it very calmly, but it was quite a mess actually. I think I got let off easy in retrospect as it never got on me like it did on Jenny...
The doctor was called on the phone, advice was taken, etc etc. The poor little guy was OK thru the whole ordeal, just couldn't keep any food or drink down for a while.
