Next up for the Song Hall of Fame is...... "Family Affair" by Sly and the Family Stone.
There's a Riot Goin' On is probably one of my favorite albums.... and this is probably the most well-known song from it.
I like funk music.... Sly, James Brown, Curtis Mayfield, that sort of thing. Most of the "Riot" album is a real dark, slow funk... which is something a bit mesmerising.
This song is about family dynamics... He mentions his mom, which makes me think of mine.
