5 years ago this month, what was I doing ?  Only my journal has the answer:

- Linda and I were on a wee holiday early in the month visiting family and friends in Massachusetts.

- Walked around Walden Pond with Andy and Tim, then lunch at the Colonial Inn in Concord, MA one day.

- Then went the next day with them to the Natural History Museum at Harvard University before heading for the "Impressions of Light" exhibit at the MFA in Boston.

- Went with Brian and Debbie to Foxwoods in Connecticut to visit the Pequot Museum.  We gave it a big thumbs up.

- My family get a photographic portrait done at a portrait studio.

- Met up with Kevin and his family, and Brian and his family in Nashua, NH for lunch at a Japanese restaurant.

- Went with my parents to Western Mass, including a visit to Yankee Candle in South Deerfield.

- My parents gave us "Ted" the watercolour by Howard Vinyard for an anniversary present.

- We met up with an old work colleague, Ba, and his family in Methuen and go to lunch at Bugaboo Creek.

- Visited more old work colleagues, Mai and John, in Lowell.

- We fly back to the UK and stay overnight in London.  We take a ride on the London Eye, but couldn't get a bus tour of the city because the streets were closed off for an anti-Iraq War peace march.

- At home, we paint our kitchen walls yellow.

- For Easter, we meet Jenny for lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe in Edinburgh.

- Brian & family, and my parents all go to Hawaii for a holiday.
