OKAY, so, I'm not sure if I've talked about this before, but I knit. Yeah, I know, what? A seventeen year old who knits? WHAT IS THIS INSANITY. Even better? I taught myself when I was thirteen. During the summer. Because I was bored. And hey, I'm pretty good at it! I can do a lot of stuff! It's pretty awesome!
But so, a lot of people (my mom included) have asked me to teach them how to knit, and I'm always just like, um, okay, sure, when? And, well...with the exception of my mom, because she lives with me, we never really got a time down. Also I'm lazy and a horrible teacher because I've got a temper like you wouldn't believe and therefore shouldn't be around people with sharp objects (seriously WHO let me do this again?). Also I don't know how to explain things very well.
OH RIGHT POINTS YOU NEED THOSE WHEN COMMUNICATING:
this is one of the best knitting sites I've found and I use it a lot. It shows you everything from basic knit and purl and casting on and off, to a lot more advanced things like short rows and cables (CABLESSSSS). So basically all you really need is some yarn and needles, which are easy peasy to find. Unless you live out in the country, then you might have to drive to a craft store or ask your senile old grandma where she keeps her knitting things. But, y'know, semantics.
