Mycroft sighs as he fiddles with the telegram, his eyes lost in thought. For months now he gets repeatedly the same telegram, again and again and again. He has to admit that it took him 11 seconds to understand the message when he received the first one, but now he easily recognizes it and quite probably will never be able to forget it.
That does not change the fact that he still does not know how to answer it.
With another sigh he opens the drawer of his desk and puts the telegram to the others with the same message, knowing that it is not a security risk to keep them. No one will ever be able to understand what they mean and even with his mind he takes a certain comfort in keeping the telegrams as a reminder.
A reminder of the last words his brother spoke to him, before he had to flee to the continent. Sherlock's last request, repeated in every single telegram.
